Four corporate aviation pilots perish in ferry flight home

Landon Studer was the son of Rich Studer, based in Addison, TX.  Both corporate aviation pilots and aviation enthusiast.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these four men and their families.

My father taught me how to fly in a bright blue 1968
Beech Debonair before I could drive, and I have fond
memories of arguments between my brothers and I over
who would get to fly the Citation legs on our family trips.
Soon after high school, I continued my flying career
while serving in the US Air Force as a Special Agent with
the Office of Special Investigations. After leaving active
duty, I went to work for the US Department of State as an
Aviation Specialized Skills Officer and continued in the
Air Force Reserve. While I enjoyed the work immensely,
I decided to leave the State Department in 2008 after my
son was born and started my own aviation consulting and
aircraft sales business based at the Addison Airport. I
live in Dallas, Texas with my junior co-pilot, Landon Gabriel, and my wife, Dora and was
recently reassigned to Air Force Material Command Headquarters as a Reserve Special
Agent. I have a degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
and an ATP with type ratings in the Cessna Citation and the Grumman Albatross. I
enjoy law enforcement, traveling, history, and giving my son dual instruction.
Executive Officer
Squadron Leader—Landon Studer
